Summer Reading Program The Ceredo-Kenova Library's annual summer reading programs kicks off with registration on Monday, June 15, 10 a.m., at the library. The six-week program, “Be Creative @ Your Library” is for children kindergarten to grade 5. Children read books for prizes and they can participate in weekly activities. There is no charge. The schedule for June includes Tuesday, June 16, 11 a.m., Petland of South Point; Thursday, June 18, 11 a.m., Ronald McDonald; Tuesday June 23 and 25 at 11 a.m, Greg Goode; and Tuesday, June 30, 11 a.m., members of the C-K Alumni Band.

Independence Day Concert The C-K Alumni Band will perform their annual Independence Day Concert on Saturday, July 4th at 7:00pm at Kenova Towne Square. Enjoy an evening of patriotic and American-composed music by the area’s all-volunteer band. Admission is free! Bring your lounge chair as available seating is limited.
WV Bruisers Women’s Football Tryouts Tryouts are ongoing for the WV Bruisers Women’s Football, and part of the Women’s Football Alliance. The team will begin play in Spring of 2010 at Ward-Craycraft Stadium in Kenova. Tryouts are ongoing Every Wednesday and Sunday at Virginia Point 6pm. Bourbon Street Brawlers Concert The Bourbon Street Brawlers will perform on Sunday, July 19th at 2:00pm at Paul T. Billups Park as part of the Sunday In the Park series sponsored by the Town of Ceredo. Enjoy the afternoon as the band performs their unique blend of Dixieland music. Admission is free!
